Theory and application related to project management, radio access networks, backhaul to sites signaling, disaster recovery planning and response, data services and location-based services.

Experience and understanding of theory & application related to network design, capacity planning, power systems AC/DC, and grounding.

Ex ALU/ Nokia Installers in front of the line

Ensuring site is back on air, alarm free.

Taking cell site off air removing and replacing circuit boards loading software.

CIVIL TECHNICIANS

 Applicants should have hands on experience in the construction industry as well as reliable transportation to get to and from job sites/office. Person(s) with special skills such as anything within the telecom industry, concrete finishing, electrical, carpentry are especially in high demand. Required Skilled Laborer Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints

  • Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and navigate construction site terrain

  • Dig pits, trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction

  • Identify utility lines

  • Operate vehicles and possibly equipment

  • Perform setup and cleanup tasks at a job site

  • Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew

  • Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary

  • Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew

  • Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles

  • Basic computer skills.

  • The ability to read and write in English; excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and travel out of market when necessary.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry experience

  • Certifications: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, Climb and Rescue, CPR/First Aid, RF Safety, and Scaffold Safety.

  • Identify building process

  • Read and interpret drawings

  • Knowledge of building codes, environmental regulations, and safety requirements

  • High school diploma/GED preferred

  • 2+ years’ construction industry experience preferred

  • Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures

  • Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle

  • Comfort working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations

Civil Technician Level 2 (CT2) is to engage in construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. The CT2 reports to his onsite foreman as well as the Construction/Project Manager.

  • Able to perform all aspects of the CT1 position

  • Required to lift items in excess of 50lbs

  • Have a general understanding of basic troubleshooting issues

  • Driving and parking of vehicles; all loading of equip / material at warehouse and in vehicles

  • Possess active certificates and assist CT4 in leading civil related scopes, maintenance functions, tasks and installations.

  • Be familiar with installing various equipment/ materials and parts.

  • Have basic knowledge of site /project scope of work

  • Have knowledge of standards /guidelines for installation by both company and client standards (concrete, masonry, framing, electrical, maintenance, cable pulling, device hook ups)

  • Have ability to perform a minimum of 1 - 2 hours of unsupervised work following CT4 or CT3 direction

  • Have proper knowledge of rigging / loading techniques; platform building; proper use of a capstans hoist / tagging

  • Identify safety hazards both in the air and on the ground

  • Cement pouring / cement work; electrical installation and testing, all civil trades related to construction industry.

  • Some RF experience and able to adapt to RF techniques if scope requires it.

  • Good DMV and able to drive company vehicle

  • Able to operate various types of personnel/boom lifts to access aerials safely

  • Flexible schedule: able to work long hours, weekends, holidays, and available for emergency service calls

Civil Technician Level 3 (CT3) is to coordinate and assist Foreman (CT4) in activities of workers engaged in construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. The CT3 reports directly to the Foreman (CT4) for the job. The CT3 assists foreman in determining scope daily using construction drawings, bid notes, installation technique, troubleshooting, considering the construction/repair of structures and fixtures. Responsible for assisting in oversight of two/three-man civil crew, troubleshooting, performing repairs, and maintenance on cellular sites, other civil related projects and construction, adhering to schedules developed by the planning department; selects materials and structural units and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance and industry standards, ensures

  • Able to perform all aspects of the position required and able to assist with the growth of the department

  • Required to lift in excess of 50lbs

  • Have a broad understanding of civil and cellular industry construction: including concrete, masonry, electrical, framing, FRP, drywall, TI, demolition, equipment operation and field management

  • Ability to read site drawings to ensure there are necessary tools, supplies and crew to complete the site scope

  • Use of all vehicles; warehouse and service vehicles

  • Possess active certificates and assist other RF crews in tower climbing and RF/civil familiar with installing antennas and necessary cabling and grounding; be familiar with all aspects of the cellular industry

  • Have proper knowledge of rigging / loading techniques; platform building; proper use of a capstans hoist / tag lining

  • Good DMV and able to drive company vehicle

  • Flexible schedule: able to work long hours, weekends, holidays, and on call for emergency service calls

  • Basic computer and reporting skills for reporting information of work tickets and use customer-based pilot programs from field, ability to use Excel, Word, Adobe, Google Earth, Outlook programs

  • Competent in all aspects of site safety and able to provide safe working environment for crew members. Identify safety hazards both in the air and on the ground

 Civil Technician Level 4 (CT4) is to coordinate and oversee activities of workers engaged in construction, installation, and repair of structures and fixtures. The CT4 reports directly to the Construction/Project Manager. The CT4 determines scope daily using construction drawings, bid notes, installation technique, troubleshooting, considering the construction/repair of structures and fixtures. Responsible for overseeing two/three-man civil crew, troubleshooting, performing repairs, and maintenance on cellular sites, other civil related projects and construction, adhering to schedules developed by the planning department; selects materials and structural units and inspects them to ensure conformance with provisions of building code and local ordinance and industry standards, ensures Actual hours do not exceed the Estimated hours; reports all Change Order needs to their Manager. The CT4 will also have regular direct communication with the client’s field personnel via email and on site.

  • Perform site walks with customer and provide pictures, Bill of Materials and site pre-requirements related to scope to management team for review, participate in the planning of projects.

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager on pre-planned site-specific issues such as utility and Telco routing, access issues, inventory verification, permits, materials ordering

  • Check out necessary tools and inventory from warehouse prior to construction start. Responsible for proper use and security of checked out tools and that they are returned to warehouse clean and ready for reuse

  • Keep crew motivated and on task focused on safety and quality

  • Maintain site safety tote bags and their togetherness, as well as tools and equipment. Keep job sites OSHA compliant, job books up to date and that safety protocol is being adhered to.

  • Maintain professional attitude when working with client’s, Construction Manager' or PM, be a positive influence and role model for fellow employees and all persons’ involved on projects

  • Provide feedback to management about safer and more efficient work practices that can be employed in the field
